Indo-China BPM held on China Spring Festival at eastern Ladhak

An Indo-China Ceremonial Border Personnel Meeting (BPM) held on Saturday at Chinese BPM Huts at Chushul-Moldo and DBO-TWD Meeting Points of Eastern Ladakh on the occasion of “Chinese Spring Festival”. The Indian delegation was led by Brig VK Purohit and Col SS Lamba while Chinese delegation by Sr Col Bai Min and Col Song Zhang Li, respectively, a defence PRO said.  The Ceremonial BPM  commenced with saluting the National Flags by the delegation members.  This was followed by the ceremonial address comprising of exchange of greetings, wishes and vote of thanks.  The address reflected the mutual desire for maintaining and improving relations at the functional level at the border. Thereafter, a cultural programme showcasing Chinese culture and traditions was organized. Both the delegations interacted in a free, congenial and cordial environment.  The delegations parted amidst feeling of friendship and commitment towards enhancing the existing cordial relations and maintaining peace along the border.   Both sides also sought to build on the mutual desire to maintain peace and tranquility along the border. Last ceremonial BPM was held on January 26 on the occasion of India’s Republic Day at Indian huts.
