Refuting the media reports of Chinese troops transgressed into Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh’s upper Dibang valley, the government on Monday said that the incident had taken place in July when they inadvertently entered into the valley. As per the sources in the defence establishments, “It was not a transgression. Due to changing perception of Line of Control (LAC), the patrol teams go till their perception. In this case too, they do their patrol till their perception.” However, on being conveyed they return back to their territory, the sources added. It is learnt that the incident occurred in between July 15-29 this year. Last year in August, India and China decided to end their 73-day standoff between their troops at Doklam. The standoff had strained ties considerably between the two countries.
