A day after Indian Army conveyed to their Pakistani counterparts about taking bodies of Pak intruders who were killed in a gunfight with Indian soldiers while attempting to cross border at Sunderbani sector in Jammu and Kashmir, the Pakistan Army is yet to respond on the issue. At a functional level talk between both the ground forces which takes place every Tuesday, India had conveyed to Pakistan to take the bodies of Pakistani nationals but so far they have not responded, a high-level army official said. On October 21, a group of 5-6 armed intruders crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and fired up Indian Army patrol in the Sunderbani sector. In the ensuing gunfight, three soldiers were killed while Indian Army managed to neutralize two of them. Besides lodging a strong protest over the killing of its jawans in an attack by the Border Action Team (BAT), the Indian Army in today’s talk also raised the issue of continued presence of terrorists in launch-pads across the border. The intruders were believed to be members of BAT comprising Pakistan Army jawans and trained militants.
