New Delhi: The Indian Army and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) successfully conducted a two-week joint training programme on jungle warfare at Kibithoo in Arunachal Pradesh.
The training focused on jungle survival techniques, endurance building and warfare drills in the dense and hostile terrain of the eastern Himalayas.
The culmination of the training was marked by a challenging 48-hour outdoor exercise, “Ex-Jungle Prahari”.
During this exercise, troops operated in arduous jungle conditions, practicing tactical maneuvers, survival skills and coordinated responses to battlefield scenarios. The event tested their physical stamina, mental resilience, battle craft and camaraderie under simulated operational environments.
This joint endeavour not only enhanced interoperability between the Army and ITBP but also validated their preparedness for future contingencies in jungle terrain.
By combining operational experience, tactical expertise, and survival skills, the training further strengthened inter-agency coordination and promoted greater synergy between the two forces.
The successful completion of the joint training reaffirms the collective commitment of the Indian Army and ITBP towards combat excellence, operational readiness and the nation’s security in the most challenging operational environments.
