New Delhi: Sharing updates on COVID-19 cases in the force, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has said 56 more cases have been reported in last 24 hours, taking total number of positive cases to 156.
All new cases have been reported from Delhi, the Force officials said, adding that the troopers admitted to COVID hospital were engaged in maintaining law and order situation in Delhi.
All jawans have been admitted to the dedicated Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) Referral Hospital in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh.
The condition of four ITBP personnel admitted to All India Institute of Medial Science (AIIMS) at Jhajjar in Haryana and two at Safadarjung hospital in Delhi are stated to be in stable condition.
So far, 156 jawans of ITBP, 27 from the BSF, one from CISF and two from CRPF have been admitted to the CAPF hospital at Greater Noida CAPF hospitals.
Besides these, two family members ITBP personnel have also been admitted to this hospital and all of them reported to be stable.
ITBP is a part of CAPF which is mandated to border guarding of the Indo China Border extended up to 3,488 KM and also man border posts at altitude as high as 21,000 feet.
This Force also assist the civil administration in controlling law and order situation in the country.
