In this conversation with Sandeep Mukherjee, Brigadier RJS Dhillon (retired) talks about “perceptional LAC” – the new term floated by elements of the government and media to downplay the seriousness of the Chinese troops’ incursion into Indian territory in eastern Ladakh.

Brig Dhillon, who served in the region and led patrolling parties to the areas which the Chinese have now either occupied or made no-go zone for Indians, explains what the de facto border between India and Chinese-controlled Tibet – commonly called the line of actual control (LAC) – is.
