BSF again shoots down Pakistani drone along Indo-Pak border in Amritsar

Pakistani drone shot down by BSF in Punjab 

Amritsar: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday night again shot down a drone trying to sneak into Indian territory from Pakistan side in Amritsar of Punjab.

As per the BSF officials, the alert troops of 22 Battalion thwarted the drone intrusion attempt in area of BOP Rania, Sector Amritsar at about 2115 hours today.

Sharing the details of the drone, the officials said it weighs about12 kg. “2 propellers sustained damage due to firing by BSF troops. Consignment was also recovered.”

Two days ago also, the border guarding force had gunned down a quad copter along the international border after it entered into Indian territory from Pakistan.

The troops had to fire 17 rounds of bullets after they saw the drone coming in from Pakistan side at 4:30 hours.
