Col Dinesh Kumar (R)
The author was commissioned the Indian Army’s Regiment of Artillery, in 1978. He participated in Operation Meghdoot, Operation Parakram, various counterinsurgency operations in the northeast and in Kashmir, and took part in Operation Vijay. He retired from the Army in 2009.

Maj Gen Sudhakar Jee, VSM (R)
The author is a former colonel of the Mahar Regiment. He has the distinction of having served and commanded troops along the northern borders in the western, central and the eastern sectors. Currently, he is pursuing a doctoral thesis on the resolution of India-China border dispute and comments on global security and geostrategy, especially on AfPak, in mainstream and digital media.
