New Delhi: Boeing has appointed Alay Parikh as director of business development for its defence and services business in India, reinforcing the company’s commitment to strengthening operations and accelerating growth in the region.

Parikh will build on Boeing’s presence in the country, driving business growth, strengthening customer relationships, and pursuing new platform and services opportunities in India.

He will report to Randy Rotte, senior director, International Business Development, and succeeds Alain Garcia, who takes on a new assignment with Boeing in South Korea.

“Alay’s rich experience across defense systems and working with global customers supports Boeing’s commitment to long-term growth in India. As we deepen our engagement in the region, his background and familiarity with our operations will play a critical role in advancing our priorities,” said Salil Gupte, president, Boeing India and South Asia.

Parikh brings nearly two decades of experience at Boeing, where he has held key leadership roles across the company’s global defense and supply chain operations.

He previously led the BGS Program Team for sustainment efforts in Singapore, overseeing support for the Apache, Chinook, and F-15 platforms.

Earlier, he served as Strategy & New Business Manager within BDS Supply Chain, focusing on Asia and emerging markets, and driving strategic supplier engagement and offset programs.

Parikh also contributed to global supply chain architecture initiatives and has extensive experience with the CH-47 and AH-64 platforms.

“I’m pleased to join the team at Boeing India. As India’s defence landscape continues to evolve, I look forward to supporting our customers with advanced capabilities and sustainment solutions that align with their operational goals and contribute to India’s self-reliance ambitions,” said Alay Parikh, director, India business development, Boeing Defense, Space & Security.

Boeing's commitment to India includes a heritage spanning over eight decades. Presently, India operates 11 C-17s, 22 AH-64 Apaches (with six more on order), 15 CH-47 Chinooks, 12 P-8Is, 3 VVIP aircraft (737 airframe), and two Head of State aircraft (777 airframe), all of which are Boeing platforms.

India is at the front and center of Boeing’s business plans and is one of the largest defencemarkets for Boeing.

BDI serves as a local entity, offering comprehensive lifecycle solutions for government and defense customers in India.
