Eastern Naval Command bids farewell to Navy Chief

Eastern Naval Command bids farewell to Indian Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba.

The Chief of the Naval Staff embarked the Eastern Fleet at sea on May 16.

Vice Admiral Karambir Singh, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command and Rear Admiral Suraj Berry, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet accompanied the CNS during the exercises at sea.

Later, Admiral Lanba interacted with Officers, Sailors and Defence Civilians of the Command. 

Mrs Reena Lanba has been at the forefront of Naval Wives Welfare Association (NWWA) activities, focusing especially on under-privileged and special children through the ‘Balwadi’ and ‘Sankalp’ Schools run by the NWWA.

On her farewell visit to the Command, the First Lady interacted with the ladies of the Command at a Milan organised in her honour by the NWWA(Eastern Region) and visited few NWWA facilities at Visakhapatnam. A new NWWA Kendra was also inaugurated by Mrs Reena Lanba at INS Kalinga, the Naval Station in Bheemunipatnam on May 15.

Adm Sunil Lanba accompanied by Mrs Reena Lanba, President, NWWA arrived Visakhapatnam on a three-day farewell visit to the ENC and are scheduled to depart Visakhapatnam on May 17.
