French Naval Chief to discuss bilateral naval issues with Adm Lanba

French Naval Chief Admiral Christophe Prazuck has arrived India on a 4-day visit, starting Sunday, aiming at consolidating bilateral naval relations between   both the nations. The visiting naval chief will also take part in Raisina Dialogue, being organised by Observer Research Foundation (ORF).  During his visit, Adm Prazuck will hold bilateral discussions with Indian Naval Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba other senior officials of the Indian Navy, an official said. A range of issues of mutual interest to both navies, encompassing maritime operations, training, logistics and maintenance would be discussed during these meetings. The Indian Navy cooperates with French Navy on many fronts, which include Bilateral Naval Exercise ‘Varuna’, Interaction on Aircraft Carrier Operations and in generating Maritime Domain Awareness through the medium of Security Dialogue and Staff Talks.   In addition, ships from both navies make regular port calls at each others’ ports. He will depart for his country on January 9.
