AN-32 crash: Eastern Air Command AoC paid tributes to air warriors

Jorhat: Eastern Air Command Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Air Marshal RD Mathur on Thursday paid tributes to the air warriors, who laid down their lives in the line of duty in transport aircraft AN-32 crash in Arunachal Pradesh.

“Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command paid tributes to the Air-warriors, who lost their lives in the An-32 crash on 03 June 19 in Arunachal Pradesh, at a wreath-laying ceremony in Jorhat,  today,” the Indian Air Force (IAF) said in a tweet.

In another tweet, the IAF said, “They fly infinite,

No limits no borders,

They only follow courage and orders,

They beat the heights,

They fly infinite..!

Salute to the fallen airwarriors.

Jai hind!!!”

On June 3, the transport aircraft went missing after it took off from Jorhat Air Force Station in Assam for Menchuka Advance Landing Ground in Arunachal Pradesh, which is 30-km away from China  border.

On June 11, the Search and Rescue team spotted the wreckage of AN-32 on a slope of mountain near Lipo area in Arunachal Pradesh.
