New Delhi: The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is set to participate in the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show (Vibrant Gujarat – 2024) from January 9 to January 13 at Gandhinagar. The event will focus on the capabilities of Indian industries with a thrust on “Atmanirbhar Bharat”. HAL will showcase its products, including the Sukhoi-30MKI aircraft, which has been modified indigenously for the integration of India-made air-to-ground BrahMos missile, CB Ananthakrishnan, the state-owned plane maker’s CMD said on Monday. The missile weighs 2,500kg and has a range of nearly 300km.
HAL has manufactured 220 Sukhoi-30MKI aircraft and has overhauled over 100 of them.
The HAL’s Prachand light combat helicopter (LCH), an indigenous product built with private participation, will be on static display. It is the only attack helicopter in the world that can land and take off at an altitude of 5,000 metres (16,400 feet) above sea level with a considerable load of weapons and fuel, meeting the specific requirements of Indian Armed Forces.
HAL has identified over 100 critical items for indigenization and will display some of them in the show.
Besides, the scale models of Sukhoi-30, LCA, weapon systems integrated advanced light helicopter (ALH-WSI), HTT-40, and Dornier-228, the HAL stall will showcase core competencies and capabilities of Indian industries, opportunities in indigenization of critical aerospace parts, aggregates, line replacement units (LRUs), materials, and consumables. During the show, the HAL will also focus on strategies for strengthening the aerospace ecosystem by interacting with Indian industry to open the gateway for the future.
The event will be held at the summit’s largest exhibition venue spread over 2,00,000 square metres and will showcase various sectors, including blue economy, startups, innovation, and MSMEs.
International pavilions from countries like Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates will also be featured in this year’s Vibrant Gujarat 2024 event.
