Indian Army, Assam Rifles working round the clock to bring normalcy in Manipur

Imphal: The Indian Army along with the Assam Rifles are working round the clock to significantly restore peace amid the ongoing clashes in Manipur.

The Army’s Sikh Regiment is currently carrying out rescue operations in Langol in Imphal West district, shifting out over 1,500 people to safe shelters in the Army camp.



The Sikh Regiment has been working to provide medical aid, food and shelter to all the people in distress in the area. Relief was also provided to the students of Mary Kom Regional Boxing Foundation.



According to the Army, it is making every effort to undertake surveillance of areas not only in hinterland but also along the India-Myanmar international border in the backdrop of the prevailing security situation in the state.
