New Delhi: In the wake of fast changing environment in Ukraine amidst ongoing tussle between Kyiv and Moscow, the Indian embassy in Ukraine has asked its nationals to leave the country “immediately”.

This is the third advisory issued by the Indian embassy for its people since October 11.

“In continuation of the advisory issued by the Embassy on October 19, all Indian citizens are advised to immediately leave Ukraine by available means,” the Indian embassy in Kyiv said.

It also added that some nationals have already left Ukraine to earlier advisory.

“They may contact the Embassy at the following numbers for any guidance/assistance, if required, to travel to the border: +380933559958, +380635917881, +380678745945,” it added.

Russia has launched the most extensive missile attack against the Ukrainian capital since beginning of the military operation on February 24.

Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin had announced martial law in the four recently occupied regions of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk and Donetsk.

The move indicated that Russia is firming up its control in eastern Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the war, the Narendra Modi government had evacuated about 20,000 Indians under “Operation Ganga”.
