Rajnath pays tribute at Piskarevsky Memorial in Russia

St Petersburg: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday visited Piskarevsky Memorial in St. Petersburg and paid tribute to soldiers and civilians who laid down their lives during Second World War.

Mr Singh had co-chaired the 19th India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military-Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC) meeting along with his Russian counterpart General Sergey Shoigu in Moscow on Wednesday.

Mr Singh has said Russia stands with India in fight against terrorism and is ready to further strengthen defence cooperation.

Russia has also extended its support to India for Defence Expo 2020, scheduled for February next year.
