Nagpur: A blood donation and health check-up camp was organized in the premises of Office of the Joint Controller of Defence Accounts Air Force.
The social event was inaugurated at the auspicious hands of Chief Guest Renuka Kunte, Principal Medical Officer of Headquarters Maintenance Command, Nagpur.
Guest of Honour Mahesh Khumkar, IDAS, IFA, HQMC, Nagpur, Bhange, Director of Nasikrao Tirpude Blood Centre and President of the event Pradeep Kumar Jena, IDAS, JCDA(AF) Nagpur were present on the occasion.
Also present on the occasion were Ayush Sharma, Nandu Giri, Rathi, Jayashree Chaudhary, Ophthalmologist Tanvi Mahajan along with their Medical Team from Arneja Hospial, Nagpur.
Chief Guest AVM Renuka Kunte, while speaking on the occasion said that Blood Donation is the greatest donation. One spends a few minutes in donating blood that saves the life of a person and provides a new lease of life.
Guest of Honour Mahesh Khumkar, IDAS, IFA in his address emphasized and underlined the importance of this noble deed and urged the gathering to take blood donation as a social responsibility and voluntarily come forward to donate blood. He added that in true sense blood donation is the most humanitarian act.
In his Presidential address, Pradeep Kumar Jena, IDAS, JCDA (AF) tried to erase the misconceptions about blood donation in the minds of masses and appealed to all youth to come forward to donate blood.
On the occasion S.M. Sonkusare, IDAS, Joint IFA, G.R. Barapatre, IDAS, ACDA, Manoj Korde, IDAS, Dy IFA and other Senior Officers from JCDA AF Nagpur and IFA, HQMC, Nagpur were also present.
The event was successfully organized with the sincere efforts of S. Venkat Raman, AO, R. A. Sontakke, AAO, Sandip Virulkar, AAO, Vikas Kalamkar, SA, Prashant Patil, SA and Narendra Nahar, Clerk.
