New Delhi: In order to create a sense of self-esteem in the country and society, ONGC Foundation has invited entries for four types of competitions for school children -- based on cleanliness theme as part of Swachhta Pakhwada.

The competitions would be online for children across the country to enhance their creativity. Creative writing and photography are the major component of this competition.

The participants can submit their creative works from July 7. The last date would be July 10 while the result to be declared on July 15.

Speaking about the event, ONGC Foundation CEO Kiran DM said, “Every year we celebrate Swachhta Pakhwada but this year a lot has changed. While there has been self awakening in the people due to COVID-19 at the same time children are not getting the platform. This is a small effort by ONGC Foundation to connect children with their creativity in order to create a sense of self-esteem in the country and society.”

“This year, our foundation has created four types of competitions for school children. These will be theme based and one student one competition. Student studying in any part of the country and in any school can participate in the competition according to their interest,” he added.

The participants can submit their entries online through ONGC Foundation’s website.

The Swachhta Pakhwada is celebrated between July 1-15 every year.
