Post airstrike: CCS meeting underway

Giving befitting a reply to Pakistani security forces, the Indian Air Force on Tuesday dropped 1,000 kg bombs on Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camps across the Line of Control (LoC) in Muzafarabad, Balakote and Chakoti.  Pakistan army spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor also confirmed that that the Indian Air Force (IAF) violated the Line of Control (LoC).  “Facing timely and effective response from Pakistan Air Force released payload in haste while escaping which fell near Balakot," he tweeted, adding that no casualties have been reported so far.  From government side, Minister of State for Agriculture Purushottam Rupala was the first one to comment after the IAF conducted air strike and said, “BHARAT MATA KI JAI @narendramodi AND BRAVEHEARTS OF OUR ARMY n AIRFORCE JAI HO.” Hours after airstrike, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi held meeting with Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, NSA Ajit Doval along with Senior officials. The Development came after a fidayeen attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir on February 14 that killed 40 personnel. The attack was claimed by Pakistan-based militant group, Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).
