12 Kumaon’s veterans hold get-together in Neemrana

Veterans of 12 Kumaon have held a get-together at Neemrana in Rajasthan in an effort to reinforce bonhomie in officer-men relationship and regimental spirit.  “A small unit get together was organised by ‘A’ Coy veterans of 12 KUMAON “Daudkandi Battalion” at Raath International School, Neemrana,” Indian Army spokesperson Col Aman Anand said.  ‘A’ Coy is the only ahir coy of the battalion. The veterans settled in the area were able to muster a good strength of 80 JCO/OR for reliving past memories and experiences with eleven officers (serving & retd) who attended the event from Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai, the spokesperson said.  The event began by paying tributes to fallen comrades.  The narrative and success story of each veteran post retirement was discussed during the meeting. The event was taken as a forum to share grievances/problems faced by any veteran and any organisational assistance required to resolve the issue, he added. Sub Maj (Hony Capt) Ram Kunwar, Sub Vasudev, Sub Hoshiyar, Sub Parmeshwar, and Hony Capt Surat Singh were main organizers.  Amongst retired officers Maj Gen TK Kaul, Maj Gen Sanjay Soi, Col KP Sharm, Col Khan, Col Nirvan, Col Jodha, Col Ravindra and Col Gosain were among others present at the event. Besides, three serving officers also graced the occaision.
