Bangladesh Army chief meets Gen Rawat, discuss strategic issue

Aiming to further deepen the defence ties between two militaries, Bangladesh Army chief General Aziz Ahmed on Wednesday met Indian Army chief Gen Bipin Rawat here. “General Aziz Ahmed, Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army called upon and interacted with General Bipin Rawat #COAS. Discussed issues of mutual & strategic concern. @SpokespersonMoD @PIB_India @HQ_IDS_India,” the Indian Army said in a tweet. The visiting military officer also held delegation level talks with minister of state for defence Subhash Bhamre. He is on a 6-day visit to India and also it was his first foreign visit after assuming office. Gen Aziz is also scheduled to visit Agra, Lucknow, and Deolali during his stay.
