Shaikshik Foundation to hold conference on human rights on Feb 22

New Delhi: In an effort to provide an opportunity to engage various sections of society to delve on aspects of human rights, the Shaikshik Foundation, ABRSM in association with Deshbandhu College and Ambedkar International Centre will organise an international conference on human rights on February 22-23 here.

In the conference, the participants will discuss the issues and challenges being faced by the human rights activists.

Human Resource Development  Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank will be the chief guest of the inaugural function while UGC Chairman Prof DP Singh will preside over the function.

“This conference will also deliberate on various aspects of human rights such as Bhartiya traditions, dharma, terrorism, just system, media, women, Vedic age, environment, climate change, democracy, social justice among others,” said Sanjay Kumar, Foundation’s Media Incharge in a statement.

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan will address the valedictory session of the function.

Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, NGT Member Justice RS Rathore, Rajya Sabha MP Rakesh Sinha and senior journalist Prafulla Ketkar will address the conference.
