Rapidly changing geo-political environment have created challenges to national security: ACM Bhadauria

Hindon: With rapidly changing geo-political scenario in the Indian subcontinent, the challenges to national securrity has increased and it is important to remain vigilant to avoid any threat, Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Air Chief RKS Bhaduria said on Tuesday.

The chief also said that the IAF has demonstrated its resolve and capability in punishing the
perpetrators of terrorism in the last year.

Highlighting the attacks by IAF at terrorist camps in Balakot, the chief lauded the personnel of commands, stations and units for the success of airstike.

The Air Chief was speaking at the 87th anniversary of IAF at Hindon air base.

Another important point raised by ACM Bhadauria was indigenous design and manufacturing and stressed that to achieve true strategic autonomy, it needs to focus on indigenisation.

"The Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACCS) is one such system fully indigenous and has provided us one of the most advanced, secured and networked air defence environment and capability," ACM Bhadauria said.

Commenting on modernisation, the Chief said IAF is on the path of rapid modernisation through acquisition of crucial technologies and critical capabilities such as the Rafale fighter aircraft, S-400 Surface-to-Air Missile among others.
At IAF's 87th anniversary, General Bipin Rawat and Admiral Karaambir Singh were also present.
Newly inducted heavy lift helicopter Chinook and attack chopper Apache also participated in the air display. IAF’s all frontline war fighter jets took part in the display.
