Gen Rawat emphasizes on battle-focused training to ensure victory

Army chief Gen Bipin Rawat on Sunday visited Mathura Military Station and emphasized on battle- focused training and mental mobility to exploit opportunities in operations to ensure decisive victory over adversaries. Gen Rawat also appreciated the measures being undertaken by the formation to improve operational readiness and training of the Corps and also the efforts made to improve the quality of life of soldiers as well as their families. “The army chief interacted with the formation commanders and officers of 1 Corps. He also visited “The Heritage” which is the archive of the 1 Corps memorabilia,” sources in the Army said. South Western Command General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Lt Gen Cherish Mathson and General Officer Commanding 1 Corps Lt Gen Taranjit Singh received the army chief. He was briefed extensively on operational preparedness and training activities in the Corps Zone by Lt Gen Singh. The chief was accompanied by his wife Madhulika Rawat, President of the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA). Harkeerat Kaur, Zonal President AWWA informed President AWWA about various vocational courses being undertaken at Mathura Military station to impart training and empowering the wives of Army personnel. Mrs Rawat interacted with wives of soldiers of all ranks and enquired about their well being.
