Dehradun: The 107 Regular Course of the Indian Military Academy (IMA) marked its Silver Jubilee by visiting their alma mater at Dehradun in Uttarakhand along with their families on December 20.

The course, comprising 416 Gentlemen Cadets, was commissioned into the Indian Army on 24 June 2000 and has since completed 25 years of distinguished service to the nation.

A total of 255 officers of the course returned to the hallowed portals of the Indian Military Academy to pay tribute to the institution that shaped their journey from young cadets to professional soldiers and leaders.

“The visit was marked by deep nostalgia, pride and gratitude towards the Academy, instructors and traditions that laid the foundation of their military ethos,” an official said.

Over the last two and a half decades, officers of the 107 Regular Course have displayed exceptional professional competence, leadership and operational acumen across varied terrains and challenging assignments.

The course has produced 47 gallantry award winners and 176 distinguished service award recipients, reflecting its outstanding contribution to the Indian Army.

In the line of duty, the course has also made the ultimate sacrifice, having lost 10 brave officers who laid down their lives in the service of the nation.

As part of the Silver Jubilee commemorations, the course members honoured the memory of their fallen brethren by felicitating their Next of Kin, reaffirming the enduring bond of the military fraternity.

“Two Next of Kin attended the commemorative event, making the occasion deeply emotional and meaningful.”

The Silver Jubilee celebrations stood as a solemn reminder of the values of honour, courage and sacrifice imbibed at the Indian Military Academy and reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the officers of the 107 Regular Course to the service of the nation.
