Bangladesh Army chief visits Central Command HQ in Lucknow

Bangladesh Army chief General Aziz Ahmed on Friday visited the Central Command headquarters in Lucknow. On his arrival at the Headquarters Central Command, Gen Aziz was briefed on important professional aspects and thereafter interacted with General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of Central Command Lieutenant General Balwant Singh Negi. Before meeting the Indian army officials, General Aziz Ahmed laid a wreath at ‘SMIRITIKA’ War Memorial in revered remembrance of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the safety and security of the nation. After the wreath laying ceremony he proceeded to 11 Gorkha Rifles Regimental Centre where he was briefed about the training infrastructure and methodology of converting young boys into trained soldiers, an official statement said. During his visit to 11 Gorkha Rifles Regimental Centre, he also interacted with the Officers and Junior Commissioned Officers over a cup of tea. Post the visit to 11 Gorkha Rifles Regimental Centre, he proceeded to Army Medical Corps Centre and College where he was briefed about the methodology of training of the Medical Officers at Officers Training College and recruits at the Centre. He also visited the Army Medical Corps Centre & College Museum and interacted with the Commandant. Yesterday General Aziz Ahmed visited Taj Mahal.
