New Delhi: Delhi-based Tribal Research and Knowledge Centre (TRKC) on Friday formally launched its official website, strengthening its institutional presence as a dedicated national platform working exclusively in the domain of tribal research, documentation, policy engagement, and knowledge dissemination.
The website was formally launched by Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, Member, Capacity Building Commission (CBC), Government of India, in the presence of academicians, researchers, development practitioners, policy stakeholders, and institutional collaborators engaged in tribal affairs and governance.
Designed as TRKC’s official digital interface, the website serves as an authoritative repository of research publications, policy briefs, field documentation, training resources, conference outputs, and collaborative initiatives focused on tribal communities.
The platform places special emphasis on tribal knowledge systems, cultural practices, sustainable livelihoods, governance frameworks, and contemporary development challenges. It also enables wider public access to evidence-based scholarship and institutional initiatives undertaken by TRKC.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. R. Balasubramaniam underscored the importance of institutional knowledge platforms rooted in lived realities.
He noted that a dedicated digital knowledge ecosystem such as TRKC’s website plays a crucial role in bridging grassroots insights with policy frameworks, strengthening capacity building, and ensuring that tribal perspectives meaningfully inform governance and development processes.

Speaking on the occasion, DM Kiran, President, TRKC, stated that the launch of the website marks a significant milestone in TRKC’s journey.
He emphasized that the platform reflects TRKC’s commitment to systematic research, ethical documentation, and constructive policy engagement, aimed at amplifying tribal voices and contributing to informed, inclusive, and sustainable development discourse.
As part of its multi-institutional collaborative efforts, TRKC also announced the launch of its dedicated Monthly Lecture Series beginning February 2026, aimed at fostering critical dialogue, capacity building, and interdisciplinary engagement among scholars, policymakers, practitioners, and students.
The Tribal Research and Knowledge Centre (TRKC), New Delhi, works at the intersection of academics, research, policy, governance, and documentation, with a focused mandate on tribal societies in India.
Through interdisciplinary research and collaborative engagement, TRKC contributes to evidence-based discourse anchored in the foundational principles of Asmita (identity), Astitva (existence), and Vikas (development).
