New Delhi: On the fourth death anniversary of General Bipin Rawat, India’s first Chief of Defence Staff, the nation fondly remembers his courage, leadership, and unwavering patriotism.
To honor his legacy, the Uttar Pradesh Sainik School in Gorakhpur is hosting a commemorative event where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the newly built General Bipin Rawat Auditorium and unveil a statue in his memory.
Organized by the GBR Memorial Foundation of India, the ceremony will bring together students, veterans, and distinguished guests. Among the attendees will be Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, Director General of Assam Rifles, and former Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria (Retd), General Rawat’s daughters, Kritika and Tarini, will also be present to pay tribute to their father’s enduring legacy.
General Bipin Rawat was a great soldier who served the Indian Army for 43 years and played a crucial role in shaping the country's defence policies.

The Sainik School Gorakhpur is a new institution that prepares students for defence services through NDA and focuses on academic, physical, and mental development.
The school has modern facilities, including an auditorium named after General Bipin Rawat, and a shooting range where cadets have won national-level medals.
